Both of my parents used stories to teach us about life. I often complained when my mom shared another lesson through a story, and now those memories are what I treasure most about her (and I wish she was still here to tell me more). My father often shares this quote: “The wisdom of life is explained in parables, symbols, and moving stories.” Your expression of art, your gift, your presence was a true demonstration of this quote. You moved us, all 200+ in the room with the wisdom of life! You captivated and taught. You planted seeds of reality and possibility. You gave us something tangible we could each hold onto. You inspired, lifted and cultivated hope. Your words, your movement, your call to action was felt and internalized.
